Dear Friends and Colleagues,
While a ceasefire is currently in place and we are hopeful that it holds, the level of uncertainty remains too great at this time. Our foremost priority is to ensure that all members of the Board of Governors, Friends organizations, students, and staff feel safe, confident, and at ease when making plans to join us in Jerusalem.
With this in mind, we wish to inform you that, following careful deliberations by the university leadership, the upcoming Board of Governors Meeting, originally scheduled for June 12–16, will be postponed.
The meeting will now take place from October 16-20, 2026.
This decision was made with great care and with the sincere hope that, under more stable circumstances, all participants and you, our partners, will be able to join us. It is very important to us that this event takes place in a setting that allows for a joyful and meaningful gathering and honors the effort of those making the trip to attend.
A message will be sent tomorrow to all the BOG members, Honorary Doctorates and Honorary fellows letting them know about the new dates.
We greatly look forward to welcoming our governors, donors, and you in October if all works well.
